
Digital Television and Radio
A consortium headed by the BBC has won the 3 licences to broadcast digital terrestrial television in the UK.
In partnership with British SKY Broadcasting and Crown Castle (The transmitter operator) the BBC provides up to 30 "Free-To-Air" television channels and up to 16 radio stations. Free interactive services are also available.

Those wishing to view the services will simply need to buy a set top box at a cost of approximately £50 - £100. No further payment will be necessary. Existing set top box owners will be able to receive the new channel line up.
